William W. Murray, Jr.

An attorney at Nelson & Hammons, Attorneys At Law, William W. Murray, Jr., represents those throughout the state of Louisiana with cases of medical malpractice, particularly nursing negligence and nursing home negligence. With a long history of obtaining compensation for clients who have suffered injuries at the hands of doctors, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes and other health care professionals, Mr. Murray focuses his practice primarily on helping the people of North Louisiana.

At Louisiana State University, Mr. Murray earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting, graduating summa cum laude in 2004. He then earned an MBA, again graduating summa cum laude in 2005. Remaining at Louisiana State University, he then earned his Juris Doctor, Diploma of Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2010. During his educational experience, he was president of the LSU Trial Advocacy Board and a member of the LSU Moot Court Board. In the Ira S. Flory Trial Advocacy Competition, Mr. Murray earned first place.

Currently a member of the American Association for Justice, the Louisiana Association for Justice, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Shreveport Bar Association, Mr.  Murray has been admitted to practice in Louisiana since 2010. He is also actively involved with the medical malpractice section of the Louisiana Association for Justice and is a member of the Young Lawyers Section Executive Council of the Shreveport Bar Association.

SB Magazine voted Mr. Murray a “Top Attorney” in 2011-2012 for his passionate advocacy and determination to help those in Louisiana who were injured in a case of medical malpractice.
