    Over the course of his career, Mr. Baber has handled civil litigation matters involving employment discrimination, defective medical devices, pharmaceutical products and other catastrophic injuries. Before joining Lanham Blackwell & Baber Attorneys, he practiced at private firms in Bangor and Portland and had a solo practice.

    Active outside of his practice, Mr. Baber is a former adjunct professor at Husson University and the University of Maine. He authors and speaks on various legal topics, such as insurance litigation and employment discrimination, and spent several years serving on the Maine State Bar Association Board of Governors. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and the Penobscot County Bar Association.

    Committed to giving back to his community, Mr. Baber engages in pro bono work. In 2009, the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project recognized his efforts by awarding him the Lew Vafiades Pro Bono award for helping organize a free legal clinic in Penobscot County.

    Mr. Baber graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He earned his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. He holds an active law license in Maine and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
