Attorney Profile

Elizabeth is an impassioned advocate for her clients. She is an experienced trial attorney with a track record of success in the courtroom. Elizabeth has also helped her clients secure significant settlements.  She practices in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, employment disputes, business litigation, and professional malpractice.

Elizabeth is an impassioned advocate for her clients, and she has experience working closely with clients and their families on a variety of medical malpractice and wrongful death claims.  She has successfully litigated cases against doctors, nurses, dentists, and other medical professionals.  Elizabeth’s practice covers a wide range of medical specialties; her most recent malpractice cases have involved errors in orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, internal medicine, and pathology.

Elizabeth handles personal injury lawsuits, as well.  She has experience litigating cases involving injuries to patrons at establishments serving alcohol, including third-party “dramshop” liability claims and injuries caused by bar security staff and police details.  Elizabeth’s personal injury practice also includes injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents, sexual abuse claims, and products liability claims for defective products.

Elizabeth’s experience in employment litigation includes representation of both employers and employees. She has represented plaintiffs in wage recovery and employment actions, including gender discrimination, age discrimination, and disability discrimination.  She has helped a number of individuals to secure their legal rights against current and former employers.  Elizabeth also has experience defending companies against employment claims.  She has defended against discrimination actions, wrongful termination lawsuits, and enforcement of non-compete/non-solicitation agreements.

Elizabeth has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in business litigation cases.  She has helped plaintiffs secure compensation for unfair and deceptive business practices under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, M.G.L. c. 93A.  Elizabeth also defends companies and individuals against commercial litigation claims, including disputes between shareholders in closely held corporations and breach of contract actions.  Part of Elizabeth’s success at defending clients in these actions is her resolute prosecution of counterclaims.

Additionally, Elizabeth has worked on a variety of legal malpractice claims, including professional malpractice claims against attorneys and law firms for missed statutes of limitation, negligent advising, and breach of fiduciary duties.  Elizabeth’s experience in other practice areas assists her in litigating the “case-within-a-case” aspect of legal malpractice claims.
