Silin has earned a reputation as one of the leading trial lawyers in the state. A staunch advocate for justice, Mr. Silin is passionate about helping his clients receive full and fair restitution for the damages and losses they incurred as the result of another party's negligence. A veteran of hundreds of court trials, he has helped secure landmark, life-changing financial awards on behalf of those he has served while holding the responsible parties accountable for their actions.

After graduating cum laude from Tufts University in 1977, Mr. Silin attended Northeastern University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1982. That same year, he received his license to practice from the Maine State Bar Association, and he joined Berman & Simmons in 1983. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.

Possessing extensive knowledge of personal injury law, Mr. Silin regularly conducts lectures and continuing legal education seminars across the country, and he has published numerous articles on tort law and trial advocacy.

He is a fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers as well as with the Maine Bar Foundation. Among his other professional affiliations, he is an advocate for the American Board of Trial Advocates and once served on the board of governors for the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, as well as on several committees for Maine's Supreme Judicial Court.
