Edwin H. Staples, II

As the managing member of Staples Law Group LLC, Edwin H. Staples, II focuses on helping people with serious personal injury cases and justly defending those who have been accused of crimes. He serves clients throughout Maryland and has offices in Annapolis, Waugh Chapel, and Waldorf. Mr. Staples brings nearly 30 years of legal experience to the table and dedicates himself to getting the best possible results for his clients. He has successfully litigated countless cases in the courtroom, but also has a talent for getting cases resolved outside the court through mediation or arbitration, resulting in less expense and stress for many clients.

In addition to defending the rights of injured people, Mr. Staples has experience with all areas of criminal defense law, from minor traffic offenses to DUI and felony cases. His integrity and professionalism have resulted in his frequently being sought after as a lecturer on civil and criminal law at seminars around Maryland.

Mr. Staples received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in 1980, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1990. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and before the United States District Courts for the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Recognizing Mr. Staples' leadership abilities, his peers have elected him to serve on the boards of various legal associations. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Anne Arundel Bar Association for over 10 years, and was the association's president from 2005 to 2006. He has also held various positions of leadership with the Maryland State Bar Association.
