A Baltimore native, Ms. Pinderhughes received her Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. and began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable David T. Mason of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals (1976-1977). She has been licensed to practice law in Maryland since 1977, is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and manages the Alice G. Pinderhughes Scholarship Fund, established in honor of her mother who was the first woman and first African-American superintendent of the Baltimore public school system.
