Clare J. Horan

Clare J. Horan is an associate attorney at Sanford Heisler Sharp, LLP, serving clients in Maryland and across the country . She handles cases related to employment discrimination, harassment litigation and sexual violence.

After completing her undergraduate degree in history and film from Smith College in 2012, Ms. Horan received her Juris Doctor from The University of lowa College of Law in 2017. During her time at the University of Iowa, Ms. Horan served as the Senior Articles Editor of the lowa Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She also received the Bloomberg Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law, and the Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement.

Following law school, Ms. Horan clerked for the Honorable  Karen Nelson Moore, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the Honorable  Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of lowa.

With more than five years of experience, Ms. Horan is admitted to courts in Maryland and before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

As an ethical advocate, Ms. Horan has worked on cases fighting for justice on the grounds of discrimination, immigration law, assault, illegal termination and more. A zealous and diligent professional, she litigates on behalf of both individuals and classes.
