Attorney Profile

Attorney Giles H. Manley is a partner with the Janet, Janet & Suggs, LLC, law firm, which has 10 offices located across the Eastern Seaboard and Midwest. Working out of the firm’s Baltimore, Maryland, law office, Mr. Manley focuses his practice primarily on medical malpractice and birth injury claims, and he is fully committed to protecting the rights and entitlements of those adversely affected by the negligence of physicians, obstetricians and other health care providers in order to help them recover the maximum amount of compensation possible.

An attorney since 2005, Mr. Manley brings more than 20 years of professional medical experience to the table as a board-certified OB-GYN. Prior to entering the legal profession, he led a successful OB-GYN practice and once served as chief of obstetrics and gynecology for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group.

His extensive medical knowledge and training enable him to better address the medical aspects of his clients’ claims, and he routinely offers in-depth testimony in complex medical malpractice and birth injury cases. Over the course of his career, he has achieved notable success securing substantial settlements and awards for those he has served, including a $9.5 million verdict for a family whose child suffered a permanent brain injury as the result of a meningitis infection.

A 1981 cum laude graduate of Towson State University, Mr. Manley earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1986. In 2005, he obtained his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he graduated as a member of the Heuisler Honor Society. He holds an AV-Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell, and The National Trial Lawyers has included him in its list of Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the country.

*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Representative Clients:

  • As a physician, I was a patient advocate, and as an Attorney I continue to carry that banner high. I represent victims of medical negligence. I would point out that as a physician I am in a unique place for evaluating claims. I will not take cases where I feel the doctor was not negligent, even if I believe I could win
