Jeffrey E. Nusinov is the managing partner at Nusinov Smith LLP in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a dedicated attorney handling matters of estate, trust and fiduciary litigation, complex civil and business matters and professional malpractice. In addition to his litigation practice, he also holds experience in estate administration and has managed over 200 active guardianship and federal fiduciary accounts. Having practiced law for over 25 years now, he has extensive experience in trials before state, federal and appellate courts.
Mr. Nusinov earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2000. After graduating, he served as a law clerk to Honorable Allen L. Schwait at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. He gained licensure to practice in Maryland in 2000 and the District of Columbia in 2002. He is further admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th and 9th Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has also gained several pro hac admissions in the state courts of Florida.
Among many successful cases Mr. Nusinov has fought, most notably he represented Louis Angelos in a trust interpretation and family wealth succession litigation and gained favorable results against the likes of nationally recognized lawyer Daniel M. Petrocelli and celebrity lawyer Adam F. Streisand. He also represented a private foundation contesting a last will and testament of an estate in excess of $10 million.
Outside of courtrooms, Mr. Nusinov has served as a guest lecturer for civil litigation and electronic discovery management at the University of Baltimore School of Law. He also served as a judge for regional moot court competitions. For his dedication and professionalism, he has received an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
