The Yost Legal Group currently represents clients nationally in birth injury, defective medical/pharmaceutical products, and other catastrophic injury cases.

Tom Yost founded The Yost Legal Group in 1988. The law firm was formed with the goal of providing aggressive legal representation to those injured through no fault of their own. Tom has significant experience after representing hundreds of clients seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries.

Gradually, he took on the responsibility of more complex cases, including:

-              Children with lead-based paint poisoning

-              Defective pharmaceutical drugs

-              Defective medical devices

-              Birth injury cases

Tom passionately represents survivors of childhood sexual abuse in Maryland, including cases involving the Catholic Church, juvenile detention centers, schools, medical providers, and other institutions.

Attorney Tom Yost has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. He has handled numerous complex civil cases, and in novel areas of litigation throughout his career.  Some of these areas include:

Tom is a past president of the Maryland Association for Justice, a 1200-member trial lawyer organization dedicated to advocating for the injured and vulnerable.

American Association for Justice:

He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, a 50,000-member national civil justice lawyers’ group.

Maryland Legislature: 

He frequently speaks in the Maryland Legislature in favor of the enactment of laws that protect consumers.

Tom Yost continues to help shape policies to make society safer, maintain access to the court system, and hold wrongdoers accountable.

Attorney Yost is married and has five adult children. His hobbies include international travel, motorcycling, beekeeping, and wine.
