Jared Stape

A Maryland attorney and licensed real estate broker, Jared Stape devotes his legal acumen to business real estate, covering areas from condominiums and cooperatives to landlord/tenant relationships, mortgage refinancing, short sales, corporate dealings and estate planning. His practice also extends to corporate law and individual tax planning. Operating out of the JDKatz, P.C., office in Bethesda, he offers services to the local community in Maryland as well as the broader Washington, D.C., metro area.

Known for his strategic and personalized approach, Mr. Stape is adept at navigating the legal landscape with a business-focused mindset, functioning as a dependable corporate advisor. He prides himself on being solution-focused, approaching legal challenges not only as a legal professional but with a business owner's insight. Understanding that business challenges are human challenges, he places great importance on building personal connections with his clients to fully grasp their unique business objectives.

After receiving a Bachelor of Commerce in finance in 2019 from The University of Alabama, Mr. Stape earned his Juris Doctor summa cum laude, ranking in the top 5% of his class at the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2022. That same year, he was admitted to the Maryland State Bar Association. While at law school, he was an associate comment editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review, received the Royal Graham Shannonhouse Distinguished Scholar award and led the Real Estate Law Association as president.

Before his current role at JDKatz, P.C., Mr. Stape honed his legal skills working as a law clerk at a Baltimore law firm and gained valuable judicial experience through internships with the Honorable Joan E. Ryon at the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Honorable Jonathan Biran at the Maryland Supreme Court.
