Lisa Fishberg

Lisa Fishberg is a partner and the principal attorney at the law firm of Webb Soypher McGrath in Bethesda, Maryland. Her core practice covers all the intricate aspects of:

Listed by the District of Columbia state courts as a guardian ad litem for children in custody disputes, Ms. Fishberg is a trained mediator with experience assisting spouses and parents resolve their family law issues out of court. In her career spanning more than two decades, she has represented all interested parties in trust, estate and guardianship disputes, and has briefed and argued dozens of appeals in federal and state appellate courts.

Sharp, assertive and hardworking, Ms. Fishberg holds licenses to practice law in the states of District of Columbia, Maryland and New York. She regularly appears before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

A 1994 cum laude graduate of Albany Law School, Ms. Fishberg received her Juris Doctor with honors from the George Washington University Law School in 1997. Showing a genuine desire to give back to her community, she devotes considerable time to helping those with limited access to the legal system through the District of Columbia Courts’ Self Help Center and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center Advice & Referral Clinic.

Ms. Fishberg mentors attorneys who seek volunteer family law opportunities through the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program. She connects with her fellow attorneys through organizations such as the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is also a board member of the D.C.
