Sandy Steeves

Sandy Steeves represents clients in family law, criminal defense, DUI, personal injury cases, protective orders and nursing home negligence matters. Sandy practices in trial courts throughout the greater Baltimore area as well as the entire State of Maryland. Sandy and his team focus on aggressively representing clients in divorce, separation, child custody, child support and other family law matters throughout Maryland. Sandy focuses on finding creative solutions to his client's problems in family law, but he is not afraid to aggressively advocate for his clients in a courtroom when the opposing party will not be reasonable. His criminal defense practice focuses on matters of domestic violence, motor vehicle offenses, DUI, and assault and battery. 

In 1999, Sandy graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before moving on to law school. At the University of Baltimore School of Law, he obtained his Juris Doctor and in 2005, was admitted to practice in the State of Maryland. After spending six years as a prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office where he obtained many successful jury verdicts, he decided to go into private practice to help those who have been accused of committing a crime.

While working as an Assistant State’s Attorney, Mr. Steeves was especially dedicated to fighting for victims of domestic violence who needed help standing up for themselves. He represents many people who have been victims of domestic violence, but he also fights to defend those who have been wrongfully accused in both criminal proceedings as well as protective orders. He is currently a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association and combines his critical thinking and extensive trial experience to get successful results for his clients.

With the ability to take complex situations and present them to judges and juries as winning arguments, Mr. Steeves is also trained in Collaborative Law. He believes that whether someone is a victim of a crime or accused of committing a crime, they deserve the best representation he can offer. Mr. Steeves is an active member of his community and is the current President of the Catonsville Men's Civic Association. He is also the Chairman of the Maryland State Board of Chesapeake Bay Pilots.
