She has since been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the Supreme Court of the United States. In order to stay abreast of current developments in family law, Ms. Cummins is an active participant in several professional associations. She is a member of the Howard County Bar Association and is former co-chair of that organization's Family Law Section. Ms. Cummins also belongs to the Maryland State, Baltimore County, Baltimore City and Women's bar associations and is a fellow at the Maryland Bar Foundation. In addition, she served on the Statutory Considerations Committee of the Commission on Child Custody Decision Making. Dedicated to public service and her community, she has also done pro bono work with Maryland Volunteer Lawyers' Service and Legal Services to the Elderly, has worked with the Howard County Bar Association Family Law Assistance Program, and serves on the Board of Maryland Search and Rescue, Inc. She also has given a number of lectures and authored several publications on various topics related to her practice area.Â
