Snehal Massey leads SPM Law Office, LLC, in Columbia, Maryland, as its principal attorney and founder. She employs a compassionate, efficiency-driven method that respects both emotional needs and practical constraints. Through her practice, she assists families with divorce proceedings, pre- and postnuptial arrangements, adoptions, custody disputes and support determinations, always aiming for realistic, enduring results.
Ms. Massey’s devotion to personalized representation began during a clerkship with the Honorable Ronald A. Silkworth (Ret.) on the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, where she witnessed how strategic thinking can reshape a case’s path. That formative experience motivated her to instill clarity and confidence in everyone she serves.
Before founding SPM Law Office, Ms. Massey honed her skills at prominent family law firms in the Baltimore area. In 2019, she further distinguished herself by securing a published opinion from the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, underscoring her strength in appellate advocacy. Today, she practices throughout Maryland as a best-interest attorney, child-privilege counsel and child advocate, always placing families’ and children’s well-being first.
Academically, Ms. Massey earned her B.S. in Business Management (Marketing) from The University of Baltimore. After six years in marketing, she pursued her passion for justice, graduating J.D. cum laude with a family law certificate from The University of Baltimore School of Law in 2015 and becoming licensed in Maryland in 2017.
As a Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland fellow, Ms. Massey represented low-income clients in landlord-tenant, consumer rights, tax sale and eviction matters. She continues to advance family law in Maryland with integrity and innovation. Additionally, she is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including:
The Maryland State Bar Association
The Maryland Association of Justice
The Baltimore County Bar Association
The Anne Arundel County Bar Association
The Howard County Collaborative Professionals
The South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C.
The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland
A leader and volunteer, Ms. Massey has also chaired the Racial Justice Committee for the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C., and serves as vice-chair of the Baltimore County Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also serves on the board of Christalis, Inc., a nonprofit supporting underserved children and families worldwide.
