Thomas B. Stahl is the president and founder of the firm The Law Offices of Thomas Stahl, which is located in Columbia, Maryland. With legal experience spanning over 16 years, he focuses his practice on family law and estate planning matters and represents clients in the Greater Baltimore area.
Mr. Stahl has a genuine concern for his clients, therefore he pays close attention to their needs and concerns and crafts individualized legal strategies for each case. His clients have learned to trust him because he treats their delicate legal matters with care and is fiercely committed to defending their rights and best interests.
Pursuing his undergraduate studies at George Mason University, Mr. Stahl received his Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies and Russian studies. He went on to study at The University of Virginia, where he obtained a master’s degree in soviet studies. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2008 from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
While in law school, Mr. Stahl was an active member of the J. Braxton Craven Moot Court Team, served as an intern at the Office of Chief Counsel, Department of Homeland Security, and was a research assistant at the Center for International and Comparative Law at the University of Baltimore. After law school, he taught law as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law.
Mr. Stahl is known for his active associations with the legal community and has memberships in the Howard County Bar Association, The DC Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Maryland State Bar Association, where he currently co-chairs the Rules of Practice Committee. He is authorized to practice law in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
For his tremendous legal work, Mr. Stahl has been recognized by Lawyers of Distinction and has an Avvo rating of “Superb.” He was acknowledged by the Lawyer Legion for his contributions in the areas of professional involvement and community leadership. The Howard County Bar Association awarded him with the President’s Award and Service Award.
