Tyler P. Brown

Tyler P. Brown is an associate attorney at The Spencer Law Group in Columbia, Maryland. Mr. Brown concentrates his practice on family law and has experience with matters involving divorce, adoption, child support, custody and domestic violence. He represents clients in Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Howard and Montgomery counties in Maryland.

Over his time in practice, Mr. Brown has litigated and negotiated many complex family law cases on behalf of Maryland residents. He provides committed and personal representation, understanding that his clients are often going through a difficult time. He approaches each case with the goal of obtaining the best possible result for his client’s situation. 

Mr. Brown is a 2014 magna cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech, where he received bachelor’s degrees in political science and philosophy. From there, he earned his law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While pursuing his law degree, he was the president of the Moot Court Board and participated on the National Trial Team. Additionally, he was inducted into the honor society the Order of the Barristers.

Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Brown interned for the 39th Judicial District Court of Common Pleas in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court of Maryland for Washington County. He also clerked for a private law firm and served as a research assistant to a law school professor.

As a complement to his law practice, Mr. Brown stays active in his legal community through membership in professional organizations. He is a member of the Howard County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
