Richard M. Winters

Attorney Richard M. Winters is the founding member of the Law Offices of Richard M. Winters, LLC, in Frederick, Maryland. Nationally recognized as a preeminent trial attorney and possessing more than 30 years of legal experience, Mr. Winters has achieved considerable success handling all types of criminal and civil matters, including family law, personal injury and general civil litigation, criminal defense, along with estate planning and probate, real estate law, corporate law, and more.

A 1971 graduate of Duke University, Mr. Winters attended The George Washington University Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1974. Licensed to practice before all Maryland state courts, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

A leader in his field, Mr. Winters serves on the Lawyer Counseling Committee of the Maryland State Bar Association, and he is a member of the organization's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section.
