Michael D. Lovelace is a partner and trial attorney at Palumbo, Palumbo & Lovelace LLC, based in Fort Washington, Maryland, where he offers legal representation across a wide range of practice areas, including personal injury, medical malpractice, slip and falls, criminal defense, DUI and DWI, and family law. With more than two decades of legal experience, he is known for his comprehensive approach to advocacy and commitment to protecting the rights and interests of his clients.

Mr. Lovelace began his legal career serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Joseph S. Casula of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court from 1999 to 2000. This early experience provided him with valuable insight into judicial processes and helped shape his litigation style.  He left the clerkship to be a Prince George's County State's Attorney for the next 6 1/2 years.   As a prosecutor who handled murder, rape, child abuse, robbery, drug distribution, dui, traffic, and other types of crimes, Mr. Lovelace was able to hone his skills before a jury or a judge.   Having tried almost every type of case and feeling prepared to represent private clients, Mr. Lovelace left the State's Attonrey's Office and joined The Palumbo Law Group in 2006; which eventually became Palumbo, Palumbo & Lovelace.

In his practice, Mr. Lovelace honestly handles a diverse caseload representing individuals who face traffic and complex criminal charges before a judge or jury, his personal injury and medical malpractice cases reflects a dedication to helping those who have suffered harm due to negligence of others, and his family law practice underscores his ability to manage sensitive and emotionally charged legal issues.

A proud graduate of The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Mr. Lovelace honed his shrewd legal acumen and obtained his Juris Doctor in 1999.  He was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1999, Maryland in 2000, and later gained admission to the District of Columbia Bar in 2010.Prior to attending law school, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Hill College in 1996. He remains active in the legal community through his memberships in the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Prince George’s County Bar Association and is a staple in all the courthouses across Southern Maryland and throughout the State.   .
