Kaitlyn E. Rentfrow

Kaitlyn E. Rentfrow is an associate at Zide Law Group, LLC, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, bringing a diverse background and a commitment to the legal profession. Her upbringing across various parts of the country due to her father's U.S. Navy career ultimately led her family to settle in Annapolis, Maryland. Her practice primarily focuses on family law, including matters of adoption, mediation, pre- and postnuptial agreements, post-judgment modifications, domestic violence, protective orders, peace orders and same-sex family law.

Ms. Rentfrow's academic journey is marked by her graduation from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, in 2019, where she achieved magna cum laude honors with a Bachelor of Arts in history, along with minors in political science and communications. She continued her education at the University of Maryland School of Law, graduating with her J.D. in 2022.

During her time at law school, Ms. Rentfrow demonstrated her dedication to legal scholarship and advocacy. She served as the managing editor for the Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class, showcasing her commitment to addressing complex societal issues through legal discourse. Her leadership extended to organizing events as the events chair for Students Supporting the Womens Law Center and actively participating as a member of the Women's Bar Association.

Upon earning her Juris Doctor, Ms. Rentfrow gained invaluable experience as a judicial clerk for Magistrate Gwendolyn S. Tate at the Circuit Court For Baltimore City, a position she held for a year. This role provided her with a comprehensive understanding of courtroom procedures and case management, which has significantly informed her practice.

Since her admission to the Maryland State Bar in 2022, Ms. Rentfrow has focused her practice on family Law, where she is committed to providing thoughtful and compassionate legal services. Her affiliations with the Maryland State Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association further reflect her dedication to professional development and her engagement with the legal community.
