- Adam Smallow Injury Lawyers recently secured a $400,000 settlement for a client injured in a rideshare accident. Our client was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling in Baltimore, Maryland when her driver, distracted by a cell phone, rear-ended the vehicle in front of them. The crash caused serious injuries, and she was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment. To help demonstrate the extent of her injuries, we obtained an MRI taken before the crash and compared it with imaging performed afterward. This comparison provided objective proof of a significant spinal injury caused by the collision. Due to the severity of her injuries, our client ultimately required neck surgery. Fortunately, she made a strong recovery following the procedure. Rather than pursuing pre-litigation settlement discussions, we made the strategic decision to immediately file a lawsuit after her surgery. Our client was struck by a careless driver who blew a stop sign. He faced significant injuries as a result. After the crash, he underwent several tests, including an MRI and EMG. The MRI identified a disc herniation and the EMG revealed nerve damage. He had a long recovery and, years later, is still dealing with pain from the crash.
