Attorney Profile

My primary areas include immigration law (business and individual), international family law, including international divorce & custody, and small business. My practice is immigrant-focused and deals with solving the problems and rising above the challenges that immigrants, their families, and their businesses face. I take a highly personalized approach to the practice of law.

My family-based immigration practice includes obtaining "green cards" - permanent residence - through family relationships, visitor and student visas, and challenging government denials of immigration petitions and applications. I provide removal defense to stop deportation for individuals in removal proceedings.

In international family law, I provide a steady hand and guiding force, while working to acheive my clients' goals and helping them put their lives back together, in courtroom litigation of highly intense international family divorce and custody and child support cases, and in international kidnapping cases. I represent clients in several Maryland circuit courts and before the Maryland appellate courts. My family law practice also includes marital property disputes - assisting clients in preparing and negotiating prenuptial/antenuptial agreements, and property settlement agreements.

In business immigration, I obtain temporary working status and permanent residence for professionals, international transfers, investors, traders, researchers, artists and athletes. I deal frequently and directly with USCIS, DOL, and Consular Agencies around the world to achieve my clients' immigration goals. I counsel my clients on global immigration issues and advise companies on general immigration policies, planning and I-9 compliance.

For small business clients, I provide full service, general, outside counsel services, from business start up, contract review, and litigation to businesses operating in Maryland. My clients include companies in the financial, retail, service, medical/health, insurance, automotive and entertainment sectors.
