For the past 18 years, Scott Schwartzberg has been a tax controversy attorney. Scott represents many local individuals and businesses but also works with clients nationwide and even internationally with complex tax and business issues. He assists them with pressing federal and state tax controversy matters in all phases both administratively and in State and Federal Courts.    

An alumnus of the University of Maryland, Mr. Schwartzberg completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 2004. Subsequently, he pursued his interest in the legal field and obtained his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2007. Following his graduation, he started out as an associate attorney at LMCHP Law and was earned the rank of partner in 2015. 

Mr. Schwartzberg guides his clientele through the confusing and convoluted fields of tax laws and helps them resolve contentious disputes. As someone who consistently strives to provide quality legal counsel and representation with a client-focused approach, he is a trusted and reliable legal adviser to his clients. 

An experienced figure in the legal community, Mr. Schwartzberg holds active memberships with notable legal associations such as the Maryland State Bar Association and serves on the association’s Tax Section Council. He is also a published author in the Maryland Bar Journal and has co-written an article titled “Reducing the Pain: IRS Penalty Mitigation Practice and Procedure.”
