Details
Wendy Sare Meadows is the founder of her own law firm located in Phoenix, Maryland. Focusing her practice exclusively on family law matters, she provides representation to clients throughout Baltimore, Harford and Anne Arundel counties as well as other parts of the state. Ms. Meadows places a heavy emphasis on matrimonial cases, assisting people who are facing the end of their marriage and who need assistance when attempting to come to an agreement on such divorce-related matters as the division of complex assets and debts, child custody and visitation, and alimony and child support.
Acknowledging that not all of these cases require the same approach, Ms. Meadows works with her clients to determine the best way to seek a resolution and then pursues it accordingly. While she is an experienced and forceful courtroom advocate, not all situations lend themselves to litigation. Her training as a mediator and her experience in collaborative divorce will often be put to use to help her clients reach an accord through the use of those alternative dispute resolution methods.
Ms. Meadows has often been appointed by the court to represent the best interests of children whose parents are in custody, along with visitation disputes. Her successes in all of these endeavors have resulted in her receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
As an undergraduate, Ms. Meadows attended Franklin & Marshall College and received a Bachelor of Arts in English cum laude in 2002. Her legal education came at the American University Washington College of Law, where she was the managing editor of the American University Law Review before being awarded her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2005. Admitted to practice in Maryland, Ms. Meadows is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the Supreme Court of the United States.
*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell® is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating™ fall into two categories – legal ability and general ethical standards.
