Elyse L. Strickland

As a partner at McMillan Metro, P.C., Elyse L. Strickland focuses her practice areas on family law, business litigation and construction litigation. From her Potomac office, she serves clients in the Washington D.C. and Maryland Metro areas.

Ms. Strickland completed her law degree at the American University Washington College of Law. She has been admitted to practice in the state of Maryland since 1995. Since then, her unique focus has made her a trusted attorney for families who wish to secure the family business or who need to determine an appropriate way forward after a divorce. She has also earned certification as a Best Interest Attorney. Additionally, she received special training as a family law mediator and a collaborative lawyer.

When handling family law matters, Ms. Strickland tackles even the most controversial and complex cases. These include domestic violence, high-asset divorces and child custody battles. She is a fierce advocate for her clients and brings a similar approach to construction and commercial litigation matters. Some of the cases she handles in these areas span breach of contract allegations, shareholder disputes and employment litigation.

Ms. Strickland remains active in the law community, even outside of work. Some of the organizations she maintains memberships with include the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland and the Bar Association of Montgomery County Maryland.
