Peter Ciferri

As a partner at McMillan Metro, P.C., Peter Ciferri primarily serves clients in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, Metro areas, including Potomac, MD.  Peter represents builders and developers in commercial real estate transactions and entitlement processes. Peter brings a thorough approach to his representation of developers, builders, and investors in commercial real estate transactions, to anticipate and develop strategies and effectively represent clients in the negotiation of purchase agreements, development agreements, construction contracts, and loan documents, due diligence, entitlement processes, and through settlement. 

Peter also represents tenants and landlords in commercial lease negotiations, and brings the same detail-oriented, practical, and even-keeled approach in those negotiations. Peter's representative clients include businesses negotiating restaurant and fast food, retail, gyms, PT, warehouse, and other flex and industrial space, as well as professional office.

Peter is well-versed in the complicated and varying entitlement processes in Montgomery County, Maryland, including zoning, subdivision, and permit approvals.

In 2007, Mr. Ciferri completed his bachelor's degree at Pennsylvania State University. He then obtained his law degree at the University of Baltimore School of Law. In 2012, he was admitted to practice in Maryland. Since then, he has also been admitted to practice in the District of Columbia; the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland; and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

After graduating, Mr. Ciferri practiced in commercial litigation, municipal law, land use, zoning and real estate litigation at a small firm. He then leveraged his experience to secure a position at McMillan Metro, P.C., where he has built a solid reputation for himself as an accomplished real estate transactional attorney. Each year, he successfully negotiates dozens of purchase and sale, development agreements, and commercial leases. He also regularly advises clients on title issues, and matters related to disputes and enforcement of existing contracts.
