Andrew’s practice focuses on corporate and business law, commercial transactions, employment law and real estate. He also serves as outside general counsel to a range of companies in varying industries. Andrew’s corporate representation includes drafting and reviewing all types of contracts, corporate governance, and structuring and drafting limited liability company, partnership, corporate and joint venture agreements. 

Andrew represents clients in all phases of transactions related to mergers, acquisitions, sales and corporate reorganizations. Additionally, he provides a broad range of employer/employee-related services to business owners, executives and individuals, including drafting and reviewing employment agreements. 

Andrew frequently speaks to diverse groups and business owners on topics such as business disputes, choice of business entity, including the use of limited liability companies, and practical and legal aspects of business succession planning.

With a strong commitment to giving back to his community, Andrew volunteers at Manna Food Center, the Special Olympics of Montgomery County and Shepherd’s Table. Andrew’s commitment to service carries over to his activities in the legal community. He currently holds leadership roles in the Bar Association of Montgomery County, the Montgomery County, Maryland Bar Foundation and the Maryland State Bar Association.   • Andrew Schwartz will be addressing members of a local chapter of Business Networking International at their upcoming meeting on June 4, 2013. The focus of the meeting will be on how businesses interact with merchant processing companies, which provide services to merchants who process credit card transactions. Mr. Schwartz will focus his presentation on provisions within contracts business owners sign when engaging the services of merchant processing companies. Often, owners leave these contracts incomplete or unsigned, or they don’t fully understand what they are agreeing to when they do sign a contract.
