Ellen Lee

Attorney Ellen L. Lee has handled a wide range of family law matters during her more than 39 years of practicing law. Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Lee was involved in psychology and counseling. She learned to facilitate communication — a skill she applies in her work as a Maryland family law attorney. Ms. Lee strives to make the family law process proceed with as little stress as possible.

Ms. Lee attended Montgomery College and the University of Maryland, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979. She became an attorney after earning her juris doctor in 1985 at the American University Washington College of Law. Ms. Lee was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 1985, and practices family law in all state courts of Maryland.

She is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, for which she served on the Judicial Selections Committee from 1990 to 1991, the Legislative Committee from 1991 to 1992 and the Continuing Legal Education Committee from 1992 to 1994. She is a Psi Chi Mentor and participates in the Montgomery County Pro Bono Program.
