Karen S. Yeager

Family law attorney Karen S. Yeager is a partner at McLeod, Weschler & Yeager, P.C., located in Rockville and Frederick, Maryland. She serves clients from her office in Rockville, helping them with legal matters involving:

Prior to attending Albany Law School, Ms. Yeager went to Hartwick College to earn her bachelor’s degree with a major in history and political science. Obtaining her Juris Doctor in 2000, she has been licensed to practice in Maryland since 2001. During law school, she served as an intern at the Office of the New York State Comptroller and for the U.S. Magistrate Judge Ralph W. Smith. She was also a part of volunteer legal clinic programs. 

Ms. Yeager focuses her practice exclusively on family law litigation, helping clients from all walks of life through an emotionally draining time. She is a compassionate and detail-oriented attorney who strives to guide her clients through the entire legal process to reach the most favorable resolution. She also attends mediation sessions with clients and has experience handling guardianship and third-party custody cases as well. Furthermore, she has received the requisite training to represent children in contested custody cases. 

Licensed to practice for more than two decades, Ms. Yeager is an active member of the Montgomery Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County. She is also involved in community outreach through the Montgomery County pro bono committee.
