Lindsay A. Freedman

Lindsay A. Freedman is the founder and managing partner of Freedman Law, LLC.  Mr. Freedman focuses his practice exclusively on employment law and represents clients throughout Maryland and Virginia.  He has built a reputation for achieving exception results and providing his clients with the highest standard of legal representation in all variety of employment law matters. 

Over the course of his career, Mr. Freedman has handled all types of employment law matters, including those involving discrimination, sex harassment, wage and hour compliance, whistleblower retaliation, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and wrongful termination. He practices law before all Maryland and Virginia state courts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Mr. Freedman graduated with high distinction from Indiana University Bloomington, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and certificate from the Kelley School of Business, before graduating cum laude from George Mason University School of Law. While pursuing his law degree, he represented Veterans in a variety of legal issues through the Mason Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic.  During law school, Mr. Freedman also worked for a Tysons Corner, Virginia law firm that specialized in auto dealer law and then transitioned to a large firm in Annapolis, Maryland.  

After one year working for the largest non-profit law firm in Maryland, Mr. Freedman spent many years managing a large litigation caseload at a boutique employment law firm in Greenbelt, Maryland. There Mr. Freedman gained extensive knowledge and experience in all facets of employment law, successfully representing hundreds of employees and employers in workplace disputes. 

Outside of the office, Mr. Freedman is an active member of his legal community and participates in various professional organizations. He belongs to the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, Prince George’s County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, and the Federal Bar Association.  He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Maryland Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
