Mayah A'Shanti Wells

Mayah A'Shanti Wells is an attorney and a partner at the law firm Goldberg Finnegan, with offices in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Extending her practices to Virginia, she serves clients on cases related to medical malpractice, personal injury and workers’ compensation.

A student of Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Wells received her Juris Doctor in 2017. She had previously earned her bachelor’s degree with distinction in political science from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and the Arts in 2014. 

During her college years, Ms. Wells interned at the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender, the U.S. Department of Energy and a private firm. She also served as a student attorney in the Rising for Justice program. Starting her professional legal career as a law clerk, she gained valuable experience handling legal paperwork related to bankruptcy proceedings and probate issues. She has been practicing in the field for about five years, learning to establish a strong personal connection with clients. This enables her to understand their problems better, bringing her a step closer to achieving their aims.

Through the years, Ms. Wells has handled a variety of cases including accidents, wrongful death, nursing home abuse and neglect matters. Her commitment to her service is reflected in her manner of communication with her clients, who endorse her as an empathetic attorney.
