George S. Tolley, III

George S. Tolley III is a partner of Dugan, Babij, Tolley & Kohler, LLC operating in Timonium and Baltimore, Maryland.   He litigates complex medical negligence and personal injury cases;  typical cases include neurologic birth injuries, delayed diagnosis of cancer, emergency room malpractice and wrongful death, among others.

A leader in the bar, Mr. Tolley served as President of the Maryland Association for Justice for the 2012-13 term and as Chair of the MAJ Medical Negligence Section.  He also participates as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice, as well as a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, and many other specialty and regional bar associations.  Mr. Tolley is frequently invited to write articles about medical malpractice law and to speak at continuing legal education seminars for trial lawyers.

After graduating magna cum laude from Williams College, Mr. Tolley received his law degree from New York University.  Before joining this Firm more than 25 years ago, he served as a law clerk for the Hon. Herbert F. Murray of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.  Mr. Tolley is an AV-rated* attorney admitted to practice law in Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina and the District of Columbia, and he has been specially admitted to handle medical negligence cases in jurisdictions across the country.
