Jasmine N. Pope

Jasmine N. Pope is an accomplished attorney based in Baltimore, Maryland, working as an associate at Turnbull, Nicholson & Sanders, P.A., since 2022. Her practice covers all matters, including adoption, alimony and spousal support, child support, custody and visitation, dissolution, divorce, domestic violence, prenuptial agreements, marital property and same-sex family law.

Ms. Pope earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in history from Towson University and graduated cum laude from The University of Baltimore School of Law in 2018. During her time in law school, she held the position of editor-in-chief for The University of Baltimore School of Law Journal of International Law and was actively involved in the International Law Society's executive board. Her dedication extended to serving as a Rule 19 student attorney at the Immigrant Rights Clinic and participating in the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition. 

After completing law school, Ms. Pope clerked for the Honorable Sherrie R. Bailey at the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, where she honed her skills in custody, child support and contempt matters. Her professional journey continued at a private law firm in Annapolis, Maryland, where she practiced immigration, criminal defense and family law. Her work with Maryland Legal Aid further enhanced her experience in family law, particularly in child custody, child support and divorce cases. She has represented clients before magistrates and judges throughout Maryland. 

Ms. Pope is recognized as a court-appointed Best Interest Attorney and has represented minor children in contested litigation matters since April 2024. Her commitment to family law led her to attend the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers’ Institute for Family Law Associates in June 2025. 

Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Pope is actively involved in several professional organizations. She graduated from the Maryland State Bar Association’s (MSBA) leadership academy class of 2023-2024 and serves on the MSBA Leadership Academy Committee. As president-elect of the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland and vice-chair of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Section of the Baltimore County Bar Association, she continues to advocate for diversity and inclusion. She is also a member of the Monumental City Bar Association and The Women’s Bar Association of Maryland.
