Jenna L. Cohen

Jenna L. Cohen is the founding and managing member of Cohen Elder Law, LLC. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the Elder Law and Estates and Trusts Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association. She was named a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2021-2024, as published by Baltimore Magazine.  

Jenna was born and raised in Baltimore County. After graduating from McDonogh in 2008, Jenna graduated Cum Laude from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology and received her Health Law Certificate from the University of Maryland School of Law. 

During her years as a full-time student, Jenna worked at an elder law firm in the Baltimore area, where she drafted legislation and public policy initiatives regarding the institutional bias in current Medicaid laws and updated several revisions to the Elder Law in Maryland textbook and the Maryland Medicaid Long-Term Care Supplement. In 2017, Jenna stepped out of her Baltimore County comfort zone and became an Associate Attorney at an elder law firm located in Carroll County, where she exclusively focused her legal practice on estate and long-term care planning.

Jenna has dedicated her education and career solely to the aging population and is deeply committed to assisting clients in great need. Through her education, internships and work experience, Jenna has obtained the ability to effectively present information to clients in various planning stages in the field of aging. Her knowledge of and experience with the Aging Network makes Jenna highly qualified for elder care advocacy in a rapidly aging society.
