Ms. Howanski graduated with high distinction from the University of Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and was a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society. She went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she participated in the school’s law review and completed a fellowship with a federal court judge. Ms. Howanski was also invited to join the Order of the Coif.

Helping families resolve their issues requires personal attention and open communication. With a focus on clients’ best interests, Ms. Howanski has successfully navigated even the most complex family law cases for more than 34 years. She takes the time to understand clients’ needs in order to secure the best possible outcome. For Ms. Howanski’s achievements, the Baltimore County Bar Association awarded her the J. Earle Plumhoff Professionalism Award. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
