Majoring in political science, Ms. Serio graduated with a B.A. from Duquesne University, along with a minor in psychology. Attending law school as a part-time student, she found time to work at the University of Maryland’s Baltimore Office of Research and Development, where she gained exposure to industry-sponsored clinical trials and corporate contract agreements. Later in 2017, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law and was admitted to the Maryland State Bar Association in the same year.
Ms. Serio commenced her legal career as a judicial law clerk at the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, with the Honorable Judge Michael J. Finifter. During her tenure, she was able to broaden her knowledge and refine her skills. She also garnered a distinct and multifaceted understanding of various complex matters pertaining to civil and domestic disputes.
Ms. Serio has represented clients in both the Appellate Court and Supreme Court of Maryland, and has been fortunate to be involved in landmark cases, including her role in influencing the State’s approach to deciding the fate of cryogenically frozen pre-embryos in the event of the dissolution of a marriage or partnership, and has had the pleasure to present on the case at various State and County bar associations.
