Steffani Langston

Serving as a family law associate attorney at Wasserman Family Law LLC, based in Towson, Maryland, Steffani Langston is a first-generation college graduate who worked hard to follow her passion for law. She assists her clients with cases and litigation matters including divorce, custody modification, name change, adoption and contempt proceedings.

Having gone through the trauma of her parents’ high-conflict divorce, Ms. Langston has the added advantage of being able to connect with her clients leading unhappy marriages and the children who get caught up in this mess. She chose to pursue her career in family law because of her bitter life experiences, and she is proud of the fact that she is able to help many families and individuals get to the other side without long-lasting conflicts.

A certified mediator, Ms. Langston primarily resorts to alternative dispute resolution methods including collaborative law to resolve cases. She also loves to help children handle such difficult situations in life and is professionally trained as a child counsel by the Administrative Office of the Courts. Ms. Langston received her Juris Doctor with a concentration in family law in 2018 from The University of Baltimore School of Law, where she was the vice president of the Women’s Bar Association and took an active part in the Family Law Association and the University of Baltimore Students for Public Interest. She is also a 2014 cum laude English language and literature graduate of Bridgewater State University.

Soon after graduation, Ms. Langston got licensed to practice in Maryland. Even as a law student, she interned at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and was also an AmeriCorps Equal Justice Works Intern for the Kids in Need of Defense. Later, she served as a clerk for private law firms and returned to the Circuit Court for Baltimore City to clerk with the Honorable Magistrate Andrea F. Kelly – special master of Family Division.
