After graduating with a B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in 1979, Mr. Freeman earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland Law School in 1982. He is licensed to practice in Maryland (since 1982), the District of Columbia (since 2002) and Texas (since 2007), and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Freeman was a prosecutor and law clerk to Judge Alan M. Wilner of the Court of Special Appeals. A member of both the Maryland State Bar and the American Bar Associations, he has also contributed as an adjunct law professor and serves on the board of directors of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service.
