For over 30 years, Timothy M. Gunning has provided comprehensive legal defense and litigation services to people across the Baltimore metropolitan area and across Maryland. Serving clients from his firm, Wyatt & Gunning LLC in Towson, Maryland, his practice spans criminal charges, personal injury, commercial and business disputes and real estate and estate litigation. He holds extensive experience in handling DUI/DWI, white collar crimes and other federal and state criminal charges, along with personal injury, wrongful death and professional malpractice claims.

In addition to his criminal defense and civil claims practice, Mr. Gunning also has handled cases involving breach of contract, business disputes and dissolution, wrongful termination and business torts for organizations across Maryland. In his real estate practice, he counsels clients in zoning and land-use disputes, HOA disputes, trust and estate litigation and fiduciary matters, among many others. Over the course of his career, he has handled over a hundred trials to verdict, including many jury trials.

Before pursuing legal education, Mr. Gunning completed his undergraduate studies in English from Boston College. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Upon graduation, he served as a law clerk to Judge James B. Dudley of the Circuit Court for Howard County, gaining valuable experience before his appointment as an assistant state's attorney for Baltimore County. His background as a prosecutor allows him to provide effective defense to his clients today.

Founding his current firm with a friend in 2019, Mr. Gunning stays committed to zealously representing clients across legal matters. His leadership also extends to the legal community, as he serves as the co-chair of the Criminal Law Subcommittee of the Maryland State Bar Association's Special Committee on Voir Dire.
