Donald F. Borenstein

A strategic ally for his clients in their challenging real estate and land use matters, Donald F. Borenstein applies his 20+ years of experience in pursuit of their goals and works relentlessly to achieve successful outcomes. At the law office of Johnson & Borenstein, LLC, in Andover, Massachusetts, he serves a diverse range of clients in MA, NH, and ME, with a special emphasis in the Merrimack Valley, Cape Ann, and southern NH.  He regularly appears before municipal boards and commissions, state agencies, and MA and NH courts on real estate matters, land use permitting, affordable housing development, and related appeals and disputes. 

Mr. Borenstein completed his undergraduate studies in 1991, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He went on to pursue his legal studies at the Suffolk University Law School and Vermont Law School, where he bolstered his shrewd legal acumen and foundation that are still evident in the advocacy he provides for his clients today. He received his Juris Doctor in 1994, and was shortly admitted by the Maine and Massachusetts bars.

Later, becoming licensed to practice law in New Hampshire, Mr. Borenstein was also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. For his many contributions to constantly progressing the standard of client care in his industry, he has been rated Notable* through Martindale-Hubbell.

Within his legal community, Mr. Borenstein maintains memberships in myriad legal organizations, including the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Lawrence Bar Association, the Maine State Bar Association (Real Estate Committee and Environmental Committee), the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (Land Use Committee and Affordable Housing Committee) and the New Hampshire Bar Association (Real Property Law Section).
