Ernest Stone

With a desire to defend the people instead of the government from the beginning, Ernest Stone is a criminal defense attorney at H. Ernest Stone, Attorney PC. His clients come from eastern Massachusetts and his experience includes helping those who have been accused of many crimes, including the following: sex offenses, domestic violence, drug violations and OUI. Since the beginning of his career, he has passionately represented people in both federal and state courts.

Mr. Stone is admitted to practice in the state of Massachusetts, and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit and the United States District Court. An active member of the legal community, he is involved with the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

At Middlebury College, Mr. Stone earned a Bachelor of Arts in history before moving on to law school at Washington and Lee University School of Law. In 1995, he graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor and while studying, he was the Editor of the Capital Defense Journal and the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse’s Student Director.

While in law school, Mr. Stone gained experience working on defending those involved in death penalty cases. With a belief that everyone deserves a second chance, and no one should be judged on their worst mistake or their worst day, he works with each client to understand their situation and find the best solution.
