Attorney Carmen L. Durso is the founder of Durso Law in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Durso focuses his practice entirely on sexual abuse cases, representing clients throughout the Boston metropolitan area. He provides exceptional legal representation to victims of various type of sexual abuse.
Mr. Durso has more than 50 years of legal experience. Over his career, he has successfully litigated hundreds of sexual abuse matters. He has experience with all stages of the process and uses his knowledge and skill to guide his clients on each step of the way.
Before founding his firm, Mr. Durso served in a variety of different legal roles, including an assistant attorney general and a town counsel. He is a former lecturer at New England Law School, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. He is a current board member of the child advocacy organization Massachusetts Citizens for Children and an advisory board member of the National Crime Victim Bar Association.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Martindale-Hubbell awarded Mr. Durso an AV Preeminent* peer review rating. In 2003, he received the Frank Carrington Champion of Civil Justice award. He continues to be an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and various other legal organizations.
Mr. Durso earned his law degree from New England Law and obtained his license to practice law in 1965. He holds a license to practice law before all Massachusetts state courts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
