A past president of the Boston Bar Association and a partner at Conn Kavanaugh Rosenthal Peisch & Ford, LLP, Carol A. Starkey is an accomplished criminal defense and civil litigation attorney. Providing representation to people and businesses throughout Massachusetts, she is the co-chair of the firm's white collar and regulatory practice group.

Ms. Starkey has extensive experience in defending clients who have been accused of bank fraud, federal tax fraud, and violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. She has also represented people in false claims investigations, as well as businesses that have been alleged to have participated in false billing schemes. Ms. Starkey has also defended law firms and attorneys who have been sued for legal malpractice, and she has represented clients in hearings before the Board of Registration in Pharmacy and the Board of Registration in Dentistry. In her civil practice, she has provided representation to companies in cases involving wage and hour violations and workers' compensation fraud, and she has assisted individuals who have been charged with insider trading and other types of securities fraud. She also counsels companies on labor and employment matters. Ms. Starkey is a 1984 recipient of a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 1988.
