David M. Belcher

David M. Belcher is a senior partner of Belcher Fitzgerald LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, and heads the firm’s business law practice efficaciously and with grace and poise. He is knowledgeable in many business and commercial law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing and startup representation, as well as counseling companies and investors regarding commercial contracts and general employment matters, among many others.

Mr. Belcher completed his undergraduate studies in 1994, graduating cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and finance from Fairfield University. He went on to attend the Boston College Law School, where he served as editor in chief of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest. He received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 1997, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. Later, he became admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.

With a penchant for accumulating legal knowledge in various capacities, Mr. Belcher attended MWI, becoming a certified mediator with over 60 hours of advanced training, which has proved fruitful in the numerous cases in which negotiations were paramount to success. This includes negotiating and closing a sale of eight figures in the Caribbean, structuring and closing acquisitions as well as sales of multiunit locations of major franchises and representing a software company in a multimillion-dollar restructuring and sale of majority interest to a private equity fund.
