Dhespina Poreci

Dhespina Poreci is an associate attorney at Thornton Law Firm LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, where she diligently represents clients in Massachusetts workers’ compensation cases, as well as in toxic tort, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, and birth defect matters. 

With a lifelong dedication to justice, Ms. Poreci advocates passionately on behalf of individuals and families affected by workplace injuries, hazardous exposures and defective products. Fluent in Albanian, Romanian and English, she is able to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele and ensure that their voices are heard throughout the legal process.

Ms. Poreci embarked upon her legal career at Thornton Law Firm LLP in 2016 as a paralegal, immersing herself in case preparation and client advocacy before pursuing her law degree in the United States. She earned her initial legal education at the University of Iasi Law School in Romania, graduating in 2008 and subsequently attained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Suffolk University Law School in 2021. She is admitted to practice before the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New York, and in 2023, she secured admission to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Poreci devotes her time to professional service and leadership. She currently serves as co-president of the Albanian-American Bar Association, spearheading initiatives that foster mentorship and networking opportunities for both law students and practicing attorneys. Her active membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association further reflects her dedication to professional development and to promoting the advancement of her colleagues within the legal community.
