Duo Liu

An enthusiastic and results-driven commercial and business litigation attorney, Duo Liu is a senior counsel and managing attorney at Blumsack & Canzano, P.C.’s Boston, Massachusetts, office. The firm has several other office locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York,​ and China.

Mr. Liu understands that business in the progressive world can be incredibly complex with evolving industries, ever-changing laws, and business procedures. With experience handling cases at both trial and appellate levels, he offers the most reliable and sophisticated legal solutions to clients ranging from small businesses to large corporations. 

Mr. Liu assists clients in a variety of matters involving business formations, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, financing, operations, reorganizations, and dispositions. Additionally, he assists with cases related to corporate and tax law, immigration law, domestic and international legal affairs, criminal defense, and general civil litigation. 

Over his career, Mr. Liu has gained experience guiding clients facing Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Special Committee investigations in connection with accounting fraud, bribery, insider trading, reporting errors, fraud, and embezzlement. He has also helped set up legal structures and operational plans for global service and research projects in a variety of industries such as retail, health care, consumer goods, and technology.

After graduating from the Boston University School of Law, Mr. Liu obtained his license to practice law in NY. Furthermore, he is authorized to appear in the state courts of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Mr. Liu gives back to his community by offering pro bono services and maintaining active memberships in organizations such as the Federal Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
