Elizabeth S. Hegner

An exceptionally skilled and compassionate professional, Elizabeth S. Hegner is a family law attorney at the law firm of Baskin Kershner & Thorp, LLC. Licensed to practice in Massachusetts since 2015, she assists families throughout the Boston area navigate complex legal issues swiftly and cost-efficiently. 

Over the years, Ms. Hegner has helped a number of clients obtain positive results in matters related to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance/alimony, division of marital property and debts, paternity issues, parental relocation and post-divorce modifications.

Ms. Hegner attended Boston College and obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2012. With a solidified interest in law, she enrolled at Suffolk University Law School and received her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2015. While there, she was a part of the Student Bar Association, where she offered dedicated mentorship to law students. She also served as a Note Editor for Suffolk University Law Review.

Immediately after law school, Ms. Hegner served as a legal intern for a renowned solo practitioner in Massachusetts, where she was responsible for drafting and filing of Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) Petitions in the probate and family courts of Massachusetts. She later worked at another law firm and gained extensive family legal experience.

Several legal organizations have had the pleasure of counting Ms. Hegner among their members. She is a part of the Boston Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association.  She also contributes as a writer to the Family Law Section Newsletter of the Boston Bar Association.
