George X. Pucci is a shareholder at KP Law P.C., Boston, MA, and has more than 32 years of experience as a trial lawyer and appellate advocate. He is a passionate environmentalist who balances a strong sense of compassion, community and collegiality with a mission to effectively and successfully represent clients pursuing sound land use policies and practices.
Land use permitting boards depend on Mr. Pucci to assist in properly conditioning development proposals, denying proposals in appropriate circumstances, and successfully defending permitting decisions in the event of appeal, either in court or in administrative proceedings. He handles a wide range of local permitting issues, including zoning, wetlands, subdivision control, G.L. c. 40B affordable housing, licensing, and historic preservation issues. He also represents public clients on a wide range of other land use-related issues, including issues involving electric utility infrastructure, solar energy facilities, regional transportation projects, telecommunication facilities, educational uses and exemptions, coastal resiliency, smart growth planning and development, and deed or other land use restrictions and controls.
Mr. Pucci has a number of significant victories on behalf of clients at both the trial and appellate level, including landmark decisions from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He has also engaged in a number of volunteer activities, including past service on his town's select board and conservation commission, coaching youth baseball, and serving as a big brother through Massachusetts Bay Big Brothers and Sisters.
