J. Tucker Merrigan

J. Tucker Merrigan serves as the managing partner at Sweeney Merrigan Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where he is a distinguished leader in plaintiff’s litigation. His legal proficiency spans various areas, including motor vehicle, product and premise liability, as well as cases involving dangerous drugs, medical devices and wrongful death claims. 

With settlements surpassing $84 million, Mr. Merrigan's steadfast integrity and dedication to advocacy have garnered his firm significant acclaim. Notably, he has represented over 125 cities and towns in Massachusetts during the opioid crisis, underscoring his unparalleled competence.

Mr. Merrigan's academic journey began with a degree in political science from Tufts University, followed by a law degree from the New England Law. This blend of academic excellence and practical experience empowers him to effectively champion the rights of his clients. 

A native of Greenfield, Massachusetts, Mr. Merrigan takes immense pride in his hometown's pioneering role as the first city to file a lawsuit in the Opioid Litigation in December 2017. He was authorized to practice law in the commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2011.
