Kathy Jo Cook is a senior and founding partner of Sheff & Cook, LLC  in Boston. She represents individuals and businesses in the trial and appeal of civil of catastophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, and she also represents individuals in legal malpractice, consumer protection and employment discrimination claims. Â
Kathy Jo is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization which is open only to those with significant trial experience. In 1999, she was named by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the top five "up and coming" attorneys in Massachusetts, and in 2007, she became the third lawyer ever to be inducted into the Lawyers Weekly "Hall of Fame."
Kathy Jo is the 2023-2024 President of the Massachusetts Chapter of American Board of Trial Advocates. Â Kathy Jo was the 2019 President of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the 2008-2009 President of the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts. Â Kathy Jo currently serves on the boards and committees of a number of bar associations, including the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Boston Bar Association.
